Born in Metzenzeifen, Czechoslovakia, he was a son of the late Viktorand Mary (Goebl) Tomasch.
He was educated in Czechoslovakia and earned a master's degree incabinetry. He immigrated to the United States in 1949.
He and his brother owned and operated the Tomasch Brothers Lumber Co.,East Stroudsburg.
He was a member of St. Therese's Church, Trucksville.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Tomasch; and sisters,Mary Gedeon and Margaret Turincs. Surviving are his wife of 53 years,the former Magdalene Broestl; daughters, Elizabeth Bilbow, Forty Fort;Martha Baker, Princeton, N.J.; and Christine Bak, Philadelphia; sons,Reinhard, Arlington, Va.; and Edmund, Hainesport, N.J.; and ninegrandchildren.
